GET INVOLVED

There are many initiatives led by dedicated individuals and organizations addressing broad criminal justice issues that have the potential to mitigate the impact of inaccurate roadside drug tests. We welcome and support these initiatives. At the same time, these efforts involve complex policy changes with wide-ranging implications and may take years to advance.

In contrast, policy governing roadside drug tests is a relatively straightforward issue that can be addressed more quickly. Meaningful reform in this area is within the power of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, policymakers, and lawmakers to implement.

To learn how these reforms can be achieved, please read our Policy Brief.

Watch how investigative reporter Randy Travis and the Fox 5 Atlanta I-Team worked with local law enforcement to reform roadside drug test practices in Georgia, demonstrating that practical reforms are achievable when the issue receives focused attention.
